On October 29, Peace of Adventure visited Charlotte, North Carolina for the first annual Hops for Heroes night at Triple C Brewing Co.
Over 100 people were on hand for the festivities and valuable funds were raised to empower veterans to serve civilians with disabilities. More importantly, the enthusiasm was high and we were able to bring a significant level of awareness to a fantastic community.
“It is amazing to see how people respond when they hear about something for the first time,” said one attendee. “People who were simply patrons of Triple C for the night read a pamphlet at the event or heard the presentation and wanted to be involved. With the turnout, it was evident that people believe in the cause Peace of Adventure promotes and are excited to see what is to come in the future!”
As we continue to grow, we hope to expand our programs to the southeast in an effort
diversify our program offerings and provide outreach to new geographic locations. We look forward to coming back and can’t wait to hang out again.
Thank you to Triple C Brewing Co. for hosting the event and thank you to Great Outdoor Provision Co., Smoothie King, NoDa Yoga, Sir Ed’s, Gita Sporting Goods and Tank’s Tap for providing fantastic raffle prizes. But, an even bigger thank you to the entire Charlotte community for showing the love!
